Senior Buyer

For a global automotive industry leader, we are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to support sourcing activities for components used in production plants.

Your Role

As Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure optimal performance in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and contribute directly to strategic sourcing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market studies and supplier analysis for specific product categories
• Benchmark the European supplier market to identify potential partners
• Manage RFI and RFQ processes, including analysis and recommendations
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and commercial conditions
• Identify and drive cost optimization opportunities in mass production
• Monitor and participate in supplier performance evaluations
• Prepare clear, structured analyses and present recommendations to senior management

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent (MBA is a plus)
• 3-5+ years of experience in purchasing or manufacturing
• Experience in the automotive industry is a strong asset
• Knowledge of Japanese business culture is a plus
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Autonomous, xqknzec proactive, flexible, and communicative working style
• Comfortable working in an international environment

Languages & Tools

• Fluent English is mandatory
• Additional languages (French, Czech, Turkish, Japanese) are an asset
• Very good command of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Business trips: short trips (2–3 days)
